Welcome to the first edition of the No Man's Sky weekly news recap. Every week I'm going to post all the news from the past week here, that way everyone can be all caught up with everything they need to know about No Man's Sky. Thanks for reading!
To start it off, we have some older news to get out of the way.
It's impossible to visit every planet in No Man's Sky
As you may have heard, No Man's Sky will feature Kotaku to over 500 billion years. Despite all of that Sean Murray has said that we should not focus on the numbers, but rather the experience of the game itself.
18,446,744,073,709,551,616–that's 18.4 quintillion planets. It was first reported that it would take over 5 billion years to see them all if you visited each planet every 1 second, but that was later corrected by Edge Magazine Feature
The september issue of Edge features what is probably the best writeup on No Man's Sky yet. I highly recommend that you read it.
Now onto some of the latest and most obscure news.

No Man's Sky May Feature Music By Porter Robinson
As evidenced by the above tweet, No Man's Sky may feature music by the electronic music artist Porter Robinson. Now, this is just one twitter exchange and should not be considered a sure thing, but you never know.
Deferred Shading Possible
This news, mainly for the programmer geeks out there, also comes from a tweet. I really don't know much about game design, but from what I gather, deferred shading (and/or lighting) is good; from the looks of it, No Man's Sky may have it.
Sort of a slow news week, but we may get something bigger next week. Thanks for reading, and if you have any feedback on this article (what sort of news or other content you would like to see, or what ever else you may wish) please contact me on twitter, or just comment below.

Quote of the Week
Space is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space. – Douglas Adams, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy
